Special messages for license owners

Standard customer service for Dr.Web users includes sending special messages that inform true license owners of their license’s status. These messages are sent to the same email addresses to which the license serial numbers were sent; duplicate messages appear in My Dr.Web Portal under ‘Messages’.

Special messages for Dr.Web Security Space and Dr.Web Anti-virus customers
Messages are sent according to the following schedule:
Message types Send date
Registration-related messages. The message is used to deliver the Dr.Web key file. Immediately after Dr.Web serial number registration
Notifications that mobile devices * can be protected for free
Invitations to create an account on the Doctor Web site
Renewal reminders
  • 30 days before the license expires;
  • The day the license expires;
  • 20 and 40 days after the license has expired.
Notifications concerning attempts to pirate a license Immediately after an attempt to pirate the license has been recorded. Such messages are sent if, when working with Doctor Web's services (e.g., the Renewal Wizard), users indicate the wrong email address.
Notifications on deletion of the license blocked after its renewal/additional purchase.* 30 days before the blocked license expires.

Messages are sent according to the following schedule:

Registration-related messages. The message is used to deliver the Dr.Web key file. Immediately after Dr.Web serial number registration

  • 60 and 30 days before the license expires;
  • The day the license expires;
  • 20 and 40 days after the license has expired.
